15 months: Christmas!

First, here's a video of Jonah doing the "mooncrawl". They both got into this for a while, and thought it was very fun. They understand enough language to do it when I ask.

After the boys and Liz spent a long weekend in Kansas while I was at home finishing my exams and getting snowed in, we went to Grammy's (my mother's) house for the week of Christmas.

Here's Owen, looking cute.

Jonah playing with a magazine, in some very characteristic poses.

Here's Grandpa (my dad) playing with them.

On Christmas morning, they were pretty much non-stop motion. In this photo, Jonah is trying to bite through an orange peel, and Owen is exploring, with his tongue out, you'll notice, a bike that Liz bought them (from a cool second-hand baby store!).

Here's Jonah having a go at the bike.

My brother, Brian, showing Jonah how to use maracas.

Another toy Liz got them was a band in a box!

After Grammy's house, it was off to visit Grandma and Grandad (aka Liz's parents) for the weekend.

Owen and Jonah are usually very good at using spoons (lefties, by the way!) as long as they're loosely supervised. I don't know what happened at this particular meal!

Owen flung some yogurt into his eyes, at one point.

But he got over it quickly!

What's that you say?

I know... hehe... I'm not supposed to eat yogurt with my hands...

But I'm going to do it anyway!

Double-spooning.

Then we did a second Christmas.

Back at home, we've been slowly getting caught up on little tasks and getting back to the sleep routine before school starts up again on Jan 5.

As I was getting ready to make hummus and balsamic sauteéd veggies for dinner, the boys really wanted to play a new favorite game: "smell the spices!" Owen also tried putting a lid on the pan and putting a whole jar (including the jar itself) of bay leaves in the dinner.

And now, I knight thee!
